The six island municipalities of the Aland Islands held their first island Olympics on one of the islands last Friday. One hundred kids played and raced against each other. It was not an easy task to gather them – these islands are scattered like the islands of Brittany, the Irish islands or the islands of Croatia.
Maybe in the future, there will be Olympics for young islanders from all over Europe?
A great idea, Christian. The All-Ireland Islands football competition here has been a huge success. Would be a wonderful sight to see Island kids from all over Europe meet & compete.
